Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman: the fastest couple in the world?

Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman: the fastest couple in the world?

Reigning world champion in the 100m Sha’Carri Richardson and newly crowned indoor 60m world champion Christian Coleman keep fans guessing about their relationship. Recently, Richardson was spotted wearing a gold necklace that read “SC,” a chain that Coleman was also seen sporting. The two sprinters, who are rumored to have been dating for more than two years, have not yet officially confirmed their romance.

Fueling further speculation, the couple recently vacationed in Cancun, Mexico. Although they didn’t tag each other in their Instagram Stories, the two shared videos of them being in the same location in the hot weather, and fans were buzzing on social media, wondering if the couple was ready to go public.

A power couple on and off the track

Richardson and Coleman are both fan favorites on and off the track. Richardson cemented his superstar status by winning gold in the 100m at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, setting a championship record of 10.65 seconds. She followed that up with another gold medal as part of Team USA’s record-setting 4 × 100 m relay team. In June 2024, she defended her US national title by running a record time of 10.71 seconds, and won silver in the 100 m and gold in the 4 × 100 m relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Former NFL player offers world champion Christian Coleman $100,000 to run 40-yard dash

Meanwhile, Coleman makes his return and arouses curiosity. Recently, his speed sparked a viral challenge: former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III offered Coleman $100,000 to run a 40-yard dash to highlight the gap between NFL speedsters and elite sprinters. Coleman’s previous 40-yard dash of 4.12 seconds, recorded in 2018, suggests he could easily break the current NFL record of 4.21 seconds.

The duo was also spotted at an NFL Atlanta Falcons game, where Richardson was honored on the field while Coleman cheered from the stands.
