Current rules prevent Europe from winning “future military battle”, warns French admiral – World

BRUSSELS, November 26. /TASS/. Europe will not be able to win the future military battle as long as it continues to follow current rules, said French Admiral Pierre Vandier, NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Transformation.

“Europe cannot win the future military battle with the rules it has imposed on itself today,” Policy he was quoted as saying.

According to the media outlet, the French admiral hopes that the NATO summit in The Hague next year will send a message to the European Union: “If you want to stay in the arms race, change your rules.”

Vandier also stressed that Europe “will have to pay more.” “Those who believe that with technology, war will be less costly and less painful are deluding themselves,” he noted, adding that three percent of GDP “will be the objective put on the table in the 18 next few months.”
