Aster DM Healthcare to acquire remaining 13% stake in Aster Aadhar Hospital, Kolhapur

Hospital chain Aster DM Healthcare Ltd on Tuesday (November 26) announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the remaining stake in Aster Adhaar Hospital (Prerana Hospital Limited) in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

With this acquisition, Aster DM Healthcare will own 100% of the target company, compared to 87% previously. The transaction will be carried out in two tranches and the indicative deadline for completing the acquisition is December 31, 2025.

The transaction is not classified as a related party transaction as the promoters and group companies have no interest in Aster Aadhar apart from its subsidiary status.

The 254-bed Aster Aadhar Hospital in Kolhapur is the most comprehensive multi-specialty hospital in the city. It is the first hospital in the region to acquire the prestigious NABH accreditation, the benchmark for quality healthcare.

With more than 25 specialties offered as well as a panel of leading physicians and dedicated support staff, the hospital puts compassionate, quality care at the forefront.

“Aster DM Healthcare is well positioned to meet the growing demand for advanced healthcare in India. Over the next 5 years i.e. between FY25 and FY29, the India business is expected to achieve revenue growth of 18-20% over the previous year driven by an increase in the occupancy rate. and adding capacity.
