Lansing firefighters investigate early morning house fire

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – The Lansing Fire Department is investigating an early morning house fire.

The fire occurred around 9:45 a.m. Friday, November 29 on West Barnes Ave, off S. Washington, between Baker and Mt. Hope Aves.

Lansing Fire Chief Michael Clevenger told News 10 that when crews arrived on scene, they witnessed heavy fire and smoke in the front portion of the home. After putting out the fire, crews searched the home and found no one inside.

Clevenger said he did not know the cause of the fire and the investigation was still ongoing.
