Almost Home Animal Shelter Seeks Bakers for Annual Bake and Craft Sale

QUINNESEC, Mich. (WLUC) – A UP animal shelter needs help raising money at its annual bake sale this year.

Almost domestic animal shelter in Quinnesec participates in Bake and Craft Sale at Midtown Mall every year. This year, the shelter is looking for community members to drop off baked goods to the shelter before the sale.

Almost domestic animal shelter Director Diane Luczak says the shelter is a private, non-profit organization, so the money raised from the bake sale goes a long way toward helping the animals.

“We have big vet bills,” Luczak said. “We vaccinate and deworm everyone before they are all adopted, so we have a lot of expenses. The simple act of maintaining the building (expensive cost).

To participate, you can drop off pastries at the shelter on Wednesday, December 11 or before noon on Thursday, December 12. The sale will take place at Midtown Mall in Iron Mountain on December 13th and 14th.
