Emergency services were called to a road near a town center

Part of Sittingbourne Road in Maidstone (A249) has been closed with several vehicles on site.

At least two fire trucks and a police vehicle were photographed on the route at the Union Street intersection shortly after 8 p.m.

Firefighters can be seen tending to an apartment located on the second floor of a residential building.

The building is believed to have been damaged by wind, but this has not been confirmed.

Emergency services have been contacted for further information.
