Former St. Jude Children’s Hospital Patient Inspires Art Installation

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AZFamily)—The grounds of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are adorned with a beautiful art installation filled with color and one word: hope.

The Hope Garden was inspired by a former St. Jude patient and has now become a place of spiritual healing.

Jeremiah Godby was diagnosed with a rare cancer when he was 6 years old. He had a small chance of survival. Doctors at St. Jude suggested an experimental bone marrow transplant that worked.

Years later, Godby suggested the Hope Garden as an outdoor space where families could recharge their batteries.

Godby is one of many patients who have benefited from St. Jude’s research donations.

Arizona Family is proud to partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for Arizona’s first dream home giveaway. Entering the St. Jude Dream Home Sweepstakes can help save a child’s life.

$100 tickets to win this house will go on sale February 26, 2025. All proceeds will go directly to patients and their families like Godby.
