Geralt of the city was definitely Doug Cockle’s white-haired monster hunter in The Witcher 4 trailer

No, your ears have not deceived you. It was Geralt’s voice actor, Doug Cockle, who appeared at the end of the film. The Witcher 4 trailer revealed last nightand yes, the white-haired monster hunter will definitely feature in the upcoming game in some way.

While many had assumed – let’s be honest, it’s hard to miss the gravelly tones of Cockle’s Geralt – developer CD Projekt has now officially confirmed what we all thought.

“Geralt will appear in the game,” the Witcher 4 team said. IGN. However, he refrained from revealing further. “We don’t specifically want to spoil his role,” concluded CD Projekt. “For now, you’ll have to wait to find out more.”

Cockle actually blurted out Geralt was going to play a role in the next Witcher gamewhich will instead star Ciri in the lead role, in August. However, the actor has since attempted to walk back those comments a bit, admitting that he “got slapped” by CD Projekt for what he said.

“I don’t really know if it’s true now because they came back and they said, ‘We haven’t published anything, don’t say anything,'” Cockle explained during a recent interview at MCM Comic Con Birmingham.

He went on to state, “The truth is I can’t answer the question because I signed an NDA. So even if I knew, I would have to lie to you.”
