Kennedy Center thrives with 3% attendance growth and new tenant additions – The Irish News

The Kennedy Center retail and leisure hub in west Belfast is celebrating a successful year with footfall up 3% on last year.

Through its blend of multinational brands, strong independent retail offerings and community-focused initiatives, the Kennedy Center continues to solidify its position as a premier retail destination for the local community and beyond.

The center is now fully let, marking a significant milestone with the addition of several exciting new tenants.

Modern Glow, a cutting-edge aesthetic clinic, has joined the center and offers advanced beauty treatments to clients seeking professional care.

Sweets N Treats opened its doors, offering an array of American candies and treats, while the Andersontown School of Music established its presence, fostering community connections through the power of music.

The center also celebrated significant expansion among its existing tenants.

The family entertainment center has undergone a major transformation, tripling its size to offer even more activities and attractions for families, while Truly Fare, a popular destination for school uniforms, communion wear and women’s fashion, doubled its retail sales area.

Center Director John Jones said, “We are thrilled to welcome new additions to the Kennedy Center and to see so many of our existing tenants expand their spaces and commit to long-term leases, which which truly speaks to our strength and appeal.

“Our independent retailers add a level of authenticity and personality that sets us apart. Combined with our mainstream favorites, this blend creates an unparalleled shopping experience that continues to attract customers time and time again.

He added: “This has been an incredible year for the Kennedy Center, and we couldn’t be more proud of the team and tenants who made this possible.

“With new retailers, exciting expansions and strong tenant confidence, we are set for a fantastic Christmas period. We look forward to welcoming everyone through our doors to enjoy all that the Kennedy Center has to offer.

Several key tenants have strengthened their confidence in the future of the center by negotiating new agreements and committing to extended leases.

These include long-standing retailers such as O’Neills, Eyeworld, The Rug Store, Speedy Shoe Repairs, McCaffrey’s Butchers, Titanic Telecommunications, Banjaxed Country Fried Chicken and Louis Boyd.
