Renton Police Search for Violent Criminal With Multiple Arrest Warrants Who Cut Off Ankle Monitor

In a crime alert from the Renton Police Department, the Violent Crimes Unit is looking for a man with multiple felony convictions and seven warrants for his arrest.

Jomauri Wilson, 22, is charged with multiple counts of domestic violence and illegal possession of a firearm. Police said “Wilson is a known gang member” who is violent and dangerous.

Before his disappearance, police went to his home, where he was being held under electronic surveillance. Officers said they recovered a cache of weapons, including an assault rifle. He was arrested and released again thanks to electronic surveillance of his home.

“He cut off his ankle monitor, and he’s been on the run ever since, and we can’t find him,” RPD spokeswoman Meeghan Black said. “We want to take him into custody before something bad happens again.”

Wilson has been evading authorities for nearly a year, police say.

Police believe Wilson is still in the Renton area and may be moving between locations.

“He’s at the top of our violent crimes unit’s list. He’s extremely dangerous. He’s well armed and we want to get him back into custody before anyone gets hurt,” Black added.

Jomauri Wilson is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds, with tattoos on his neck and face.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is encouraged to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers through the P3 Tips app on their cell phone or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS.
