Michael Schumacher is going to be a grandfather.

The daughter of the former F1 star, Gina Maria Schumacherhas revealed that she is expecting a baby girl with her husband, Iain Bethke.

Gina-Marie, 25 years old, announced the news on Instagram on Friday, December 20, sharing a series of photos showing a baby horse alongside pink balloons, a tiny denim jacket, and a pair of children’s cowboy boots. In one photo, a board next to the horse reads: “My new rider is arriving April 2025.”

She also included a photo of the horse wearing a pink headband with the words “Oh baby” in the caption of the post: “Can’t wait for our little girl to arrive @iain1995.”

Michael, 55, suffered a brain injury in a skiing accident in 2013. Since then, his children – Gina-Maria and son Mick Schumacher – have spoken about his life in interviews and paid tribute to him online. years.

In January 2023, his daughter wished him a happy birthday on Instagram alongside a cute photo of herself and her father wearing similar racing bomber jackets. She captioned the photo: “Happy birthday dad throwback to our karting days! #keepfighting .”

In the documentary, Mick – who chose the racing number 47 to signify Michael’s seven championships – spoke about his current relationship with his father. He described him as “my hero” and noted that he had “tremendous respect” for Michael.

“I’ve always had that,” Mick said. “He just has this presence. When he walks into a room, everyone goes silent. That’s how I remember him.”

“Every time I look at it, I’m like, ‘Yes, that’s how I want to be.’ Such strength, such peace of mind,” Mick continued, adding: “I think Dad and I would understand each other now in a different way, just because we speak a similar language, the language of motorsport .I have so much more to say.”
