New Delhi: Sustainable investing platform SustVest announced that it has raised $1.7 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) and Antler, with participation from WEH Ventures, Venture Catalysts, Soonicorn Ventures, FAAD Network and others.

The funds will support key business initiatives including the acquisition of solar projects, intensifying marketing efforts with the platform launch and improving operations, the company said in a statement.

The platform provides fixed income investment opportunities with environmental impact and helps commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers access cost-free solar projects at rates up to 50% lower. Major clients include Lodha Group, Hitachi, Mahle Group and CISF. SustVest’s KYC process allows investors to participate in renewable energy investments through its regulated platform.

Hardik Bhatia, CEO of SustVest, said the company’s mission is to democratize investment in renewable energy, making opportunities once limited to the ultra-rich accessible to everyone. SustVest helps EPCs access financing for the OPEX model, filling key gaps in the ecosystem.

The Indian rooftop solar market presents a $405.63 billion opportunity, with 7.6 million MSMEs ready for solar integration. The alternative investment market in India is expected to reach $11.8 billion, driven by 99 million people earning more than ₹15,00,000 per year.
