Metal Gear Solid Delta doesn’t have a release date, but it does have Funko Pops

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater the merch is coming out, although we still don’t have a date for the game itself.

Konami’s next remake was first announced in May 2023and will retain the story of the 2004 original. This story follows Naked Snake on an operation deep in the Soviet jungle, some 31 years before the events of Metal Gear.

Around this time last year, PlayStation then suggested that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater would be released in 2024. However, this obviously did not happen. We are now two weeks into 2025 and the release date is still unknown. But what we have instead of a date for the game is a date for… Funko Pops. Yeah ?

The Funko Pops in question are modeled on the two main characters of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – Naked Snake and The Boss.

The Naked Snake figure brandishes his combat knife. “This skilled soldier is sure to prove an invaluable asset to your POP game line!”, reads the Amazon description.

The Boss, meanwhile, has her iconic weapon The Patriot in her hands and “will also prove an invaluable asset to your POP games line-up!”

According to the Amazon sales pagethese Funko Pops will be available on March 25, at least in America (thanks, DisTrackers). So, could we maybe see a release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater around then? Well, we’ll let you know as soon as Konami lifts the lid on the game’s launch.

Last year, series producer Noriaki Okamura said that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was being redesigned because Konami believed the “the younger generation” no longer knew the series.

Also, did you know that Eva from Metal Gear Solid 3 was actually voiced by the same actor who played Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
