The mayor of Springfield Sarno will recognize the “World Cancer Day” 4 months after his diagnosis

Springfield – The City will recognize World Cancer Day by lighting up the clock tower of the Town Hall and the Union in Bleu and Orange station on Tuesday.

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno will also publish a proclamation declaring World World Cancer Day with the Zhu Center for Global Cancer Prevention at the Harvard Th Chan School of Public Health in Boston.

The disease struck the house for the mayor of five city mandates, which announced in October that he underwent treatment for a type of unharmed cancer. Despite his illness, he did not reduce his schedule and thanked his medical team, as well as Mercy Medical Center, the Sister Caritas Cancer Center and the Medical Center Baystate for their work with patients in oncology.
