Washington beats Northwestern 76-71, 'Cats loses Jalen Leach for the season

Chris Collins could not hold back his emotion when he announced that the star of Northwestern Brooks Barnhizer will miss the rest of the year after having undergone an injury to the foot.

Northwest Wildcats deserve a break.

Northwestern lost 76-71 on Saturday evening. It was not the greatest loss of the terrible, horrible, not good, very bad Saturday.

This is a two -component issue.

Northwestern plays on Tuesday in Oregon. Washington takes the road to play Ohio State on Wednesday.

How the team goes after the injuries in Leach and Barnhizer remains to be seen. Clayton obtained his first start of the season, but the team needs more KJ Windham and Angelo Ciaravino who are invited to grow quickly.
