But Ukraine also maintains its own attacks on Russian oil.

This morning, local Russian officials reported a fire in an industrial installation not specified in Saratov – a large city in Volga in southern Russia.

Ukrainian military officials said it was Saratov’s oil refinery, which provides the Russian fuel army, which has been affected, but did not claim direct responsibility to attack it.

“There are no victims,” said Roman Busargin, the governor of Saratov, who noted that a fire started after Ukraine struck him with a drone.

The fire has since been extinguished, he said later.

Last month, a Ukrainian attack on an oil depot near a military air base in Engels in the Saratov region sparked a fire that has started to turn off.
