Mother Goose: Telford Am Dram Theater Stars Prepare for their annual fundraising panto

The AM-DRAM group of the LEFORD funds collection, The Crown Players, warms up for their annual pantomime which helps to raise thousands of books for good causes.

Last year, they collected more than £ 6,000 for the Midlands air ambulance With their performance of Sleeping Beauty and since they formed in 1981, they donated more than £ 146,000 to local and national charities.

This year, the group will play Mother Goose at the Charlton School in Wellington collect funds Hospice Severn.

Liz Corbett, who has been with the group since his training in the 80s, co -produced the show this year.

She said describes the panto of this year as a good old -fashioned panto, with “a lot of hoots, a lot of hissing and a lot of public participation”.

“It’s a family well-being program, all about being satisfied with what you have,” she added.

The cast is made up of 21 artists aged seven to 80, some of whom have been with the players from the start.

The show will open its doors on Monday, February 17 and the performances will take place until Saturday, February 22.

The show begins at 7 p.m. most evenings, with the exception of Friday where it will start at 6.30 p.m. and Saturday, when the performances will take place at 1:30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.

Tickets for all performance cost £ 8 for adults and £ 4 for children and concessions. All profits will be donated to Severn Hospice.
