5 of the biggest dinosaurs ever discovered on Earth

A long time ago, there existed real creatures larger than anything we can imagine: dinosaurs! Some were so huge they looked like they came out of a story. They had long necks to eat leaves from tall trees and were so heavy that their footsteps made the ground shake. These dinosaurs lived millions of years ago, roaming forests and open lands. Even today, their fossils remind us how amazing and powerful they were. Let’s go back in time and discover five of the largest dinosaurs that ever lived!
Argentinosaurus
Argentinosaurus was one of the the biggest dinosaursliving between 94 and 97 million years ago in Argentina. Argentinosaurus could have measured almost 100 feet, or nearly 30 meters long, and weighed about 70 tons. It used its long neck to eat tall trees. Only some of his bones were found; It is assumed that it was so large that few animals would attack it.

Patagotitan
The Patagotitans lived around 101 million years ago in Argentina. It was one of the largest land animals of all time, measuring 122 feet, nearly 37 meters long and weighing 70 tons. The fossils are among the most complete of giant dinosaurs, which helps scientists determine their size. Like all other large herbivores, it probably spent its time eating trees and plants. Its size made it almost untouchable by predators.
Battleship
Dreadnoughtus lived about 77 million years ago in Argentina. The creature measured approximately 85 feet, or nearly 26 meters long, and weighed approximately 65 tons. It literally means “fear nothing,” which is only natural since it was gigantic in size. Its fossils were quite well preserved, which is how scientists actually discovered its true size. It used a very long neck to eat plants, probably too large and too slow to worry its predators.

Supersaur
Supersaurus lived about 150 million years ago in North America. It could stretch from about 105 to 110 feet to about 32 to 34 meters and was one of the longest dinosaurs. It is lighter than the others, measuring only about 35 to 40 tons, but its high neck allows it to reach a considerable amount of food stored inside the trees. Although we never saw complete fossils, it must still have been a quiet grass-eater that wasted a lot of time looking for a piece in some of the woods.
Sauroposeidon
Sauroposeidon existed around 110 million years ago in what is now the United States. It is one of the largest dinosaurs, measuring approximately 60 feet tall or almost 18 meters tall at the shoulder. It can reach 30 meters in length and weigh between 50 and 60 tonnes. Its long neck helped it feed on tall trees. It was probably one of the largest herbivorous mammals that ate plants high above the ground.
