IFS family agricultural tax: the government must swallow its pride and eliminate the tax

In response to the IFS suggesting the government change its proposals for inheritance tax on agricultural land, Liberal Democrat environment spokesperson Tim Farron MP said:

“The government has hidden behind the IFS to try to justify this disastrous policy. This same organization is now telling them that their own proposals need to be revised.

“It would be unimaginable if the government continued to push forward with these stupid projects.

“They must swallow their pride, realize the damage caused by this tax on family farming and eliminate this tax.”
