Four reform commissions, out of the six created in the first phase, submitted their reports to Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus today (January 15).

The committee heads submitted the reports to the chief advisor’s office in Tejgaon, Dhaka. California Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam shared a photo on Facebook confirming the Constitution Reform Commission’s submission of the proposals.

The government is expected to hold a press conference at 3 p.m. to provide detailed information to the media on the case.

The press secretary said yesterday (January 14) that they would at least share the summaries of the reports in addition to sharing the main features.

The commissions that submitted their reports are the Election Commission, Anti-Corruption Commission, Police Reform Commission and Constitution Reform Commission.

The interim government published a notice in the Official Gazette creating these commissions on October 3.

The six commissions are the Electoral System Reform Commission headed by Badiul Alam Majumdar, the Police Administration Reform Commission headed by Sarfaraz Hossain, the Judicial Reform Commission headed by Justice Shah Abu Naeem Mominur Rahman, the Commission of anti-corruption reform led by Iftekharuzzaman of TIB, Public Administration. Reform Commission headed by Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury and Constitutional Reform Commission headed by Ali, Professor Emeritus of Illinois State University. Riaz.
