Manchester United legend Teddy Sheringham believes joining the club is “always a highlight in anyone’s career”.

The former England star believes Alexander Isak would consider leaving Newcastle for Old Trafford “without a doubt” and sees him as the “perfect signing” for Ruben Amorim.

Sheringham told BoyleSports: “Manchester United are always a huge draw for any player and playing for the club remains a highlight of everyone’s career.

“Would Alexander Isak consider joining United if an offer came in? Without a doubt.

“I’m not saying a deal will be done, but he would be the perfect signing for United.

“He can lead the line and score goals and could be a statement signing for the new regime.

“He is full of confidence at the moment and could lead by example.”
