Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, both 32, were last seen on CCTV in the town’s market street on Tuesday.

Police have widened their search on the River Dee in Aberdeen as they continue to search for two sisters who went missing four days ago. Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, both 32, were last seen on CCTV in the town’s Market Street after leaving their home at around 2.12am on Tuesday. The sisters walked across the Victoria Bridge to the Torry area and turned right onto a footpath beside the River Dee – towards the Aberdeen Boat Club. Specialist search teams, police dogs and a marine unit helped with efforts to find the couple, who are part of a group of triplets and are from Hungary. The River Dee remains the focus of the search as officers said no evidence had emerged to suggest the missing women had left the immediate area. Police Scotland are also liaising with Hungarian authorities to support relatives of the two sisters as the search continues. Chief Inspector Darren Bruce said: “Eliza and Henrietta’s family are understandably extremely worried for them and we are working around the clock to find them. “We are seriously concerned about them and have significant resources dedicated to the investigation. “We are once again urging the public to come forward with any information relating to the whereabouts of Eliza and Henrietta. “The focal point of our search remains the River Dee and I would ask you again: if you were in the area at the time, come to think of it, did you notice anyone matching their description? “Even if it doesn’t seem significant, please pass on any information and let us judge.” “I again urge businesses in and around the South Esplanade and Menzies Road area to review their CCTV footage from Tuesday 7 January 2025 early morning and contact us if it contains anything that could be relevant to our investigation. “We’re also eager to hear from anyone with dashcam footage from that era.” Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 0735 of Tuesday January 7, 2025.
