Storybook Vale Flower Spawning Issue Makes DDV Flynn Rider Quest Nearly Impossible

Disney Dreamlight Valley has a reputation for game-breaking glitches after the launch of paid DLC and free updates, but a flower spawning glitch in Storybook Vale has set up a near-impossible obstacle for those trying to complete a specific quest .

Storybook Valley is one of the most challenging Disney Dreamlight Valley expansions to date. With three new biomes making up the map, the process of collecting Story Magic is no easy feat. Quests aren’t a simple task either, with many requiring players to scavenge long lists of biome-exclusive materials.

Such a list in the Flynn Rider Friendship Questline requires players to craft a flower extract potion. The majority of the materials needed are fairly simple, but the requirement for two olive-green Talecone Flowers has players furious, as a glitch makes obtaining them nearly impossible.

DDV players share photos of flowers that crash their game when picked

The Storybook Vale glitch causes Storycone Flowers to appear in unusual quantities in a location under the bridge that connects the two sides of the link. However, when players try to collect them, the game crashes.

On Reddit and in dozens of posts shared on X, players have shared their difficulties with this problem. Most have attempted to obtain the two olive green flowers needed for the potion that helps eliminate glowing green mushrooms in the Everafter biome.

One player begged developers Disney Dreamlight Valley to fix the bug, with a post saying: “Can we please get a patch for those flowers that appear under the bridge?” We cannot collect them and we cannot use vacuum cleaners to collect them either.

Another player, who needed yellow story cones for a quest, shared a frustrating image of the bridge area filled with flowers, commenting: “Is anyone having this problem too? when I want to collect them, it crashes… and I need the yellow flowers for the quest…”
