A rare 1.84 acres on Indian Creek Island, home to terrible notables like Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, is on the market. The Florida gated community initially had just 41 homes, and the Amazon founder purchased three of them: 11 Indian Creek Island Road, 12 Indian Creek Island Road, and 28 Indian Creek Island Road. (THE Job reported that Bezos plans to live in the last house he purchased, while demolishing the other two for custom builds.) In total, Bezos’ home purchases on the island cost him $237 million.

The just-opened land next door last sold for $27.5 million in 2018, meaning it’s up 627% in less than a decade. Ilya Reznik, the broker representing the owners, told Bloomberg that the number is negotiable but that Bezos is part of the seller’s calculation. “I think $200 million is a big number, but I’m confident that ultimately the buyer will pay a little extra because Bezos is a neighbor,” Reznik said. “Those prices just didn’t exist before he came to Indian Creek.” Still, it’s hard to imagine who would be willing to pay that much for an empty lot just to live next to Bezos. Maybe…Jeff Bezos?
