Moana 2 premieres at new Alder Hey Children’s Hospital cinema

Alder Hey has become the first children’s hospital in the UK to have its own specially adapted cinema.

It can accommodate up to 34 young people and their families, with plenty of space for wheelchairs and hospital beds.

To celebrate the opening of the cinema – funded by donations – audiences were treated to a special screening of Moana 2, the London premiere of which has not yet taken place.

“The support we have received from the community and from all our fundraisers has been phenomenal,” said Alder Hey Chief Nursing Officer Nathan Askew.
