Winter weather advisory issued for 10 Michigan counties for Monday – up to 5 inches of snow

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 2:53 p.m. EST on Sunday, effective for Monday between 1 a.m. EST and 11 p.m. EST for Mason, Lake, Osceola, Clare, Oceana, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, Montcalm counties and Gratiot.

The weather service comments: “Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches.”

“Expect slippery roads. Dangerous conditions could impact commuting Monday morning and evening,” describes the weather service. “Slow down and be careful when traveling.”
