491 people take the doctoral entrance exam at HAU

The entrance examination for admission to various PhD programs at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) was conducted smoothly at the main campus of the university. Vice-Chancellor Prof BR Kamboj inspected the arrangements made at the examination centers, ensuring that all facilities were in place for the convenience of the candidates. Dr Pawan Kumar, Registrar and Controller of Examinations, shared that out of 544 candidates, 491 candidates appeared for the exam.

The entrance examinations covered a wide range of disciplines, including agricultural economics, agricultural extension, agricultural meteorology, agronomy, plant entomology, forestry and agroforestry, agro-industry management , business management, fisheries and biotechnology. These courses are offered in various colleges of the university, such as the College of Agriculture, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, and College of Biotechnology.

To ensure fairness and transparency, special inspection teams were deployed and photographs of each candidate were taken for verification purposes.
