What to expect from Penn State’s game atmosphere vs. SMU: Trending videos, music and more

There has been some speculation online regarding Penn State’s College Football Playoff home game against SMU and the atmosphere surrounding the game itself, considering the PSC has checked tickets and parking. For example, Penn State cannot host recruits for visits this weekend.

Penn State athletics and the Beaver Stadium Social media accounts, however, clarified the situation on Thursday on some pressing issues.

In an article onPenn State announced that some regular in-game messaging, including music and sound effects, would work as they would for a regular season game. Additionally, pre-game traditions such as the team’s arrival at Beaver Stadium will still take place.

The main difference for Saturday’s noon kickoff on TNT will be that Penn State will have to show an SMU introductory video during the pregame festivities. Certain messages specific to the CFP will also be displayed on the video boards. Finally, Penn State will not be able to display sponsorships on stadium video boards.

Typically, when visiting teams bring their marching bands, the marching band sits behind the north end zone. SMU’s band will be seated on the north side of the stadium but on the upper deck, and the running Mustangs will only perform during halftime.
