The Patriots appear to be making a decision on their next head coach

The New England Patriots appear to be on track to conclude their head coaching search relatively quickly.

The Patriots have entered into contract negotiations with Mike Vrabel and he is the leading candidate for the job, according to Nicole Yang of the Boston Globe. No deal has been finalized, however, and Vrabel may still have options elsewhere.

Vrabel is, however, a coveted candidate the Patriots were considered the favorites since the firing of Jerod Mayo last Sunday. It’s possible the Patriots will have to outbid other teams to get Vrabel, although Vrabel seems most interested in New England Also.

Vrabel spent eight seasons playing for the Patriots and impressed as a head coach. He went 54-45 in six seasons with the Tennessee Titans, taking the team to the playoffs three times. He maybe there are other optionsbut the Patriots have seemed like his inevitable landing spot for some time now.
