People deserve an uninterrupted water supply – WAF

The inhabitants of Fiji deserve an uninterrupted water supply, and the aquatic authority of Fiji will continue to invest in critical infrastructure to achieve this objective.

This follows the flaw that occurred on a main interconnection of DN250, which has an impact on water supply to customers in the field of water supply of Sawani-Serea Road.

WAF says that they have provided an update on the progress of repair, highlighting the successful restoration of the DN900 VIRIA TRUNK Main, which played a key role in the resumption of the supply of affected areas.

The Minister of Public Works, Ro Filipe Tuisawau, also visited the site and was informed of the coordinated response between WAF and the entrepreneur Flame Tree to effectively solve the problem.

Ro Filipe also congratulated WAF and its entrepreneurs for their rapid and effective response.

He says that the government remains fully determined to strengthen our water infrastructure, to take up challenges like this and to ensure a reliable water supply for all Fijians.
