Person injured by Metro Transit bus Wednesday evening

One person is injured after a Metro Transit bus crashed into them Wednesday.

A Metro Transit spokesperson said a pedestrian was crossing Rice Street near Little Canada Road when the bus, which was turning south onto Rice Street, struck him.

The person was transported to the regional hospital in stable condition. Their identity is not known at this time.

Metro Transit is investigating the accident.
