Rebecca’s Run event raises $6,041 | The star

In addition to Rebecca Taylor’s memory, the event is being held to commemorate all lives lost to fentanyl overdose or death.

Rebecca’s Run is a virtual race. People registered online for a fee and were able to participate in the race between August 29 and September 2 or choose to make a donation. Runners then post their times on the event’s race page.

According to its website, imageofhoperanch.comImage of Hope’s mission statement is to “provide a sanctuary for individuals and families to heal through experiencing animals, nature, and the love of Jesus.”

“Our goal is to help people with addiction, people in recovery, and their family members,” organizers said. “To do this, we will continue to raise funds in Rebecca Taylor’s name and donate them to different organizations.

“We would like to thank every single person who donated to Rebecca’s Run 2024. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Mike Thomas Associates and Steel Dynamics.”

“As many of you know, Becca suffered from substance use disorders for many years. Luckily, she was in recovery in the fall of 2019 and we had some of our best months together. My boys, Owen and Oliver, and I will always have these special memories together,” said Rachel Voelkel, Rebecca’s sister.
