Taylor Fritz has spoken candidly about the tennis world’s biased reaction to the Iga Swiatek doping controversy.

The American tennis player hit out at fans who have started trolling their rivals of their personal favorites whenever such controversies arise.

On Thursday (November 28), the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) revealed that Iga Swiatek had agreed to a one-month suspension after testing positive for the banned substance trimetazidine (TMZ) in September this year.

Regarding X, Taylor wrote: “What drives me crazy about these situations (regarding It’s hard to know exactly what happened/all the details in all of these specific circumstances, so speculation isn’t really what I prefer to do.

He added: “It’s good to have your own honest opinions, but what I can’t understand and what is so upsetting to see as a player is the INSANE bias of the tennis public that supports any story that advances the agenda he wants to see advanced.”

Iga was initially suspended temporarily, causing her to miss three tournaments in Asia after the US Open.

The former WTA world No. 1 will return to tennis after a month’s suspension on December 4, 2024.
