Amanda Anisimova Shares Hilarious Cooking Mishap & Nearly Set The Kitchen On Fire – ‘Let’s Not Talk About Last Night’

American tennis player Amanda Anisimova took to social media on Wednesday to give fans a look at a hilarious cooking fail that could have led to a worse outcome, but luckily turned out okay.

The former world number 21 spent most of the 2024 season rehabilitating a hip injury suffered during the year. Although she attempted several times to return to competitive tennis, Anisimova ended her season at the Wuhan Open where she withdrew due to a left hip injury against Marta Kostyuk in the second round.

Anisimova shares her off-season failure with her fans

The 23-year-old spent most of her off-season recovering and enjoying her free time with family and friends. Anisimova often shares snippets of her life on social media, and fans were treated to a hilarious incident involving the American in her kitchen.

Anisimova posted a photo on her Instagram Stories, showing part of a baking sheet that had caught fire, as well as vegetables that were supposed to be part of her meal.

“But let’s not talk about last night…”, we read in the caption.

This is not the first unfortunate incident to happen to the American recently. Last week, she posted an image of a broken scented candle jar, surrounded by wax and glass stuck to the floor.

“Actually, I can’t even ride. It’s candle wax with glass… stuck to the floor,” Anisimova lamented in the caption.
