Kailasa denies rumors of the death of Nithyananda, says he is “safe and active”

By rejecting the reports of his death, a statement was published on April 1 by representatives of the so-called Godman Nithyananda, a fleeting fugitive accused of sexual abuse. The statement said Nithyananda is “living, safe and active”. It was published by Kailasa, a fictitious “nation” founded by Nithyananda after fled India.

Supporting their assertion that Nithyananda was alive, the press release attached a live link to the fugitives participating in the celebrations of Ugadi on March 30.

“Kailasa unequivocally condemns this malicious smear campaign to vilify and defame the SPH …”, said the press release.

The rumors of his death surfaced after his nephew, Sundaywar, would have said that Nithyananda had died.

Nithyananda, which previously exploited several ashrams across India, fled the country in 2019 in the midst of allegations of sexual assault, abuse and kidnapping. At the time of his disappearance, the Gujarat police investigated a case involving the kidnapping of a child from his ashram. Shortly after, he declared the creation of Kailasa, a self -proclaimed “nation” in an unknown place. Although its legitimacy has been largely questioned, the reports suggest that it can reside on an island off the coast of the equator.

The Ministry of Immigration in Bolivia on Tuesday, March 25, said that it had expelled 20 members of Kailasa. The country said that members would have tried to seize land belonging to the Aboriginal community in Bolivia. “This sect entered Bolivia as tourists, arriving at various times through various entry points. Some people had been in Bolivia since November 2024, while the majority entered in January 2025,” said Bolivia immigration director Katherine Calderón, addressing a press conference.

An non -reproducible mandate was issued against Nithyananda in 2010 by the Karnataka sessions court. Based on a complaint filed by its former Lenin driver, Nithyananda was arrested and released later on bail. However, in 2020, the deposit was canceled when Lenin filed a petition stressing that Nithyananda had fled the country. There have been accusations of torture and mistreatment of children at the Ashram of Gujarat du Godman. In 2023, which Interpol denied having issued a blue corner opinion against Nithyananda. Two letters issued by the interpol secretariat generally contradict the complaints made by the Gujarat police that such an opinion had been issued to them to collect additional information on the identity, location or activities of Nithyananda in relation to alleged crimes.
