American stock exchanges will close early on Friday, November 29 after being completely closed on Thursday, November 28, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

THE Nasdaq And New York Stock Exchange are both closed on Thanksgiving and will reopen on November 29, but will close early at 1 p.m. ET. The US bond market will also be closed on Thursday and is expected to close on Friday at 2 p.m. ET, according to the Securities and Financial Markets Industry Association.

After closing for the Thanksgiving holiday and closing early on Black Friday, it will be business as usual on Wall Street through the end of December. The next market closure will take place on Wednesday, December 25, for Christmas. Markets are also expected to close early on Christmas Eve.

US Stock Market Holiday Calendar 2024

US stock markets will be closed on the following days in 2024:

• Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 28 (markets also close at 1 p.m. ET on November 29)

• Christmas: Wednesday, December 25 (markets also close at 1 p.m. ET on December 24)
