THE Consortium of National Law Universities issued guidelines on the day of the exam for CLAT2025. Candidates can check these instructions on the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 is scheduled to be held on December 1, 2024 and will be conducted in a single shift from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The question booklet (QB) for the five-year integrated undergraduate program and the one-year postgraduate program will carry a total of 120 marks. Each correct answer earns 1 point, while incorrect answers carry a penalty of 0.25 points. Unanswered questions will not result in any deductions.

CLAT 2025: Guidelines for exam day

Entrance and seats:

  • Entry into the examination hall begins at 1:00 p.m. and candidates must be seated by 1:30 p.m.
  • Late arrivals will not be allowed entry after 2:15 p.m.
  • Candidates cannot leave the examination room before 4:00 p.m.

Duration of the exam:

  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
  • For PwD/SAP candidates, the exam will last 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Use of toilets:

  • Bathroom breaks are not permitted after the exam begins.

CLAT 2025: Mandatory documents

Candidates must bring the following items to the exam center:

  • Admit Card (If the photo on the admit card is not clear, bring a self-attested photo).
  • An original government-issued photo ID for identity verification.
  • Original Disability Certificate (for PwD/SAP candidates).

List of acceptable documents as proof of identity: Aadhaar card (Must be updated with a contemporary photo.), Passport, PAN card, Ration card/PDS photo card, Voter ID card, Driving license, photo ID issued by a recognized educational institution, photo bank. ATM Card, Kissan Photo Booklet, CGHS/ECHS Photo Card, Address Card bearing name and photo issued by the Department of Posts, Identity Certificate bearing photo issued by a Gazette Officer or Tehsildar on hard copy paper. -head, identity document for disabled person. Disability Medical Card/Certificate issued by respective State/UT Governments/Administrations

Items allowed for CLAT 2025 in the exam hall

The following objects are allowed inside the examination room:

  • Black or blue ballpoint pens.
  • Transparent water bottle.
  • Analog watch.
  • Admit card and government-issued photo ID.

Please note: Bags or any other personal object are strictly prohibited inside the examination room.

CLAT 2025: Test Timings

Candidates should note the following timings for test days:

  • 1:30 p.m. (Long Bell): Entry into the testing room will begin.
  • 1:50 p.m. (short bell): Sealed envelopes will be distributed and proctors will announce important instructions.
  • 2:00 p.m. (Long Bell): The test will begin and candidates will be allowed to open the sealed envelopes.
  • 2:15 p.m. (short bell): Entry into the testing room will no longer be permitted after this time.
  • 2:30 p.m. (short bell): This will mark 30 minutes of testing.
  • 3:00 p.m. (short bell): This will indicate that one hour of testing has ended.
  • 3:30 p.m. (short bell): This will signal that an hour and a half of testing is over.
  • 3:50 p.m. (short bell): A warning bell will indicate that there are 10 minutes remaining.
  • 4:00 p.m. (Long Bell): This will mark the end of the test. It will not be allowed to write on the OMR sheet or question paper after this bell.
