Multi-vehicle crash shuts down part of Lake Mead Boulevard; 6 hospitalized

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Lake Mead Boulevard from Sloan Lane to Yellowstone Avenue is closed in both directions until further notice due to a multi-vehicle crash.

Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating the scene where they say six people were hospitalized, including a minor. Police said all had varying degrees of injuries, but one adult female had life-threatening injuries.

LVMPD said a vehicle traveling eastbound on Lake Mead near Toiyabe crossed into oncoming traffic, resulting in a collision with another vehicle traveling westbound. Under the impact, one of the vehicles collided with another.

LVMPD said the impairment is unknown at this time.
