House price inflation in Ireland slows for third month | 01/22/25

(RTTNews) – Residential house price inflation in Ireland slowed for the third consecutive month in November, preliminary data from the Central Statistics Office showed on Wednesday.

The residential property price index rose 9.4 percent year-on-year, following a 9.7 percent rise in October. The rate has eased since reaching a peak of 10.1 percent in August.

In November 2023, residential property price inflation was 3.0 percent.

House prices rose 0.7 percent month-on-month in November after rising 0.8 percent in October.

Prices in Dublin rose 9.6 per cent year-on-year in November and prices outside Dublin were 9.2 per cent higher than a year ago.

House prices in Dublin increased by 9.9 percent while apartment prices increased by 8.3 percent.

The report also shows that home purchases fell 3.8% year-on-year in November to 4,443 units. The median price of a home purchased in the 12 months to November was €350,000.
