Why isn’t Bronny James playing against the Timberwolves in the NBA game on Monday? Injury update

Bronny James is about to miss the Los Angeles Lakers‘ match against the Minnesota Timberwolves as he continues his recovery process outlined by team doctors.

The rookie has not set foot on the field since playing 26 minutes with the The South Bay Lakers in the G League on November 17; medical examinations continue as he recovers and it will be re-evaluated in a week.

What is Bronny James’ injury?

The injury, a bruise on the left heelsaw him miss the last few games, along with James Jr. inactive in six games from November 19 to 29. He did not appear in a NBA match since November 10 against the Toronto Raptors.

“Bronny James’ left heel contusion was examined by team doctors Friday, according to the Lakers,” ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported. “It has been determined to be a recovery, and Bronny will begin his ramp-up process, with plans to be re-evaluated in a week.”

What is Bronny James’ record so far this season?

James has accumulated a total of four points, two assists, one rebound and one steal in 16 minutes in six appearances with Los Angeles this season. As for his on-field stats, James is averaging five points, three assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and one block on 21.1% shooting on the field in two games with South Bay.

The Lakers also have to deal with the absence of Hayes (sprained ankle), Vanderbilt (foot surgery) and Drink (knee surgery). D’Angelo Russell has a doubt while a decision on Reaves’ suitability will be made closer to the times. Only Joe Ingles came out for the Timberwolves.
