Oita Prefecture is a paradise for nature lovers and spiritual seekers. For experienced hikers, the Kunisaki Peninsula Long Minemichi Trail is a must. After your hike, relax in the picturesque hot spring town of Yufuin, strolling along its bustling shopping street, Yunotsubo Kaidolined with traditional craft shops, art galleries, restaurants and cafes. Savor local specialties like “Toriten” (chicken tempura) and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. For a moment of serenity, don’t miss the natural beauty of Lake Kinrin, where the waters mix hot and cold spring water, creating an ethereal morning mist. Of course, no trip to Yufuin is complete without a visit to a traditional onsen, where you can relax in the waters and emerge refreshed and rejuvenated.
