HMD Android 15 Update List: Is Your Phone Supported? (WE)

HMD – short for Human Mobile Devices – produces sound own brand smartphones since early 2024. The first such device was the Pulse, released in April 2024. Since then, the company has launched a total of 10 smartphones and 5 feature phones.

HMD Software Update Policy

HMD’s software update policy is currently a bit complicated. The company hasn’t made any firm commitments regarding major Android updates for its smartphones across the board.

Some of their phones will only receive security updates for two years and no major Android updates. Some others will get three years of security updates and two years of software updates.

This isn’t the most exciting software update policy ever, considering a brand like Samsung now offers up to 6 years of major OS updates for some of its budget models. The budget segment of the smartphone market is where HMD operates.

A number of other phone brands offer two years of operating system updates and three years of security patches.

Below is the list of HMD phones that have been confirmed to receive Android 15.

• HMD Impulse+
• HMD Pulse Pro
• Fusion HMD
• HMD horizon
• HMD T21 (tablet)

It’s a pretty short list. And a little disappointing too. Strong software support would have been a good way for the new generation of HMD smartphones to hit it out of the park.

In July, HMD couldn’t confirm whether the Crest and Crest Max would receive Android OS updates, but claimed that those two devices would only get two years of security patches. If this changes, we will update this page with details.
