Man, 65, dies after multi-vehicle crash on M74 in Glasgow

A 65-year-old man has died after his car collided with several vehicles before hitting the central reservation of the M74 in Glasgow.

The man was driving a Porsche Boxster on the southbound carriageway at around 6pm on Sunday when the incident happened at Junction 2 near Rutherglen. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 45-year-old woman driving a Nissan Leaf and a 42-year-old woman driving a BMW 2 Series were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The highway was closed in both directions following the incident. It fully reopened Monday at 4:30 a.m.
