Four managers Tottenham could name if Daniel Levy eliminates Ange Postecogloou | Soccer | Sport

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will have several options to choose from to replace Ange Postecoglou if he decides to make a change this Christmas.

The charismatic Australian is under increasing pressure after overseeing a frustrating start to the campaign. The north Londoners suffered their eighth defeat of the campaign on Sunday, with Liverpool scoring six times in a nine-goal thriller.

As of yet, there is no indication that Levy is considering appointing a new manager. However, the Spurs chairman is known for his trigger-happy approach, suggesting a change cannot be ruled out.

Express Sport is studying four potential candidates to replace Postecoglou if he gets the kick-off…

Graham Potter

The old Chelsea the boss would probably be interested in taking the Tottenham position, but whether or not he will be among the candidates is another question.

He has been unemployed since his departure Chelsea two years ago, choosing instead to bide his time and wait for the right opportunity to present itself.

A move to Tottenham is probably the best job he would realistically get, but his nightmare spell at Stamford Bridge could put him out of contention.

Kieran McKenna

A manager who already knows the club well, McKenna’s stock has risen exponentially in recent seasons. He spent the entirety of his brief playing career with Spurs before being forced to retire due to a hip injury at the age of 23.

After turning to coaching, he honed his craft with the club’s under-18 team before joining Manchester United. He has long been tipped to manage at the highest level and could take the next logical step in his career at Spurs.

However, his decision to sign a long-term deal at Portman Road this summer could complicate matters, given his new deal is said to include a bumper release clause.

Andoni Iraola

Perhaps the ideal meeting for Tottenhamthe Bournemouth boss has proven himself to be a shrewd tactician in the Premier League since replacing Gary O’Neil at the Vitality Stadium.

He successfully guided the Cherries to the top five in the division, a remarkable feat for a club of their size, and showed his eye for talent by overseeing a number of exciting signings.

Iraola would be a good option for Spurs but, as with McKenna, they would likely have to pay a significant fee to prize him away from Bournemouth.

Gareth Southgate

England’s most successful manager since the great Sir Alf Ramsey would provide much-needed stability, while his renowned man-management skills could work wonders at Tottenham

However, he appears unlikely to consider any offer after suggesting last month he could quit football altogether.

In a post on LinkedIn, Southgate wrote: “I am not limiting my future options to remaining a football coach. I intend to identify the people I want to work with and the projects and passions I pursue. wants to work.”
