At a press conference, Kejriwal questioned the Centre’s motives, asking why the Delhi picture had been excluded for several years.

“Delhi is the capital of India and the Delhi tableau is expected to participate in the parade on January 26 every year. For so many years, the Delhi tableau is not allowed to participate in the parade. What kind of policy s is he acting? Why Do they hate the people of Delhi so much? Why should the people of Delhi vote for them?

Notably, tables of 15 states and union territories were selected to participate in the Republic Day parade. The table proposed by Delhi did not meet the selection criteria, officials said.

Kejriwal also launched an attack on Central, accusing it of “lacking vision” for the people of Delhi, especially in the run-up to the upcoming Delhi assembly elections.

“They have no narrative for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls. They have no vision for the people of Delhi. They are just abusing Kejriwal and AAP. Should we vote for them just for this? Why are the painting and the people of Delhi prevented from participating in the parade on January 26?” Kejriwal remarked.
