Should the Bulldogs of Georgia cancel their spring game?

Should the Bulldogs of Georgia cancel their spring game?

While the offseason takes place and the teams are preparing for their spring camps. Georgia Bulldogs have a unique question to answer.

The offseason has arrived fully and university football fans are already desperately that itching that their beloved college teams are coming back. While the anxiety and impatience of the return of university sports are developing among the fans, the spring melee games were the events to hold fans until the regular season arrives.

But spring melee games could be in danger in the future, because many college teams have started to flirt with the concept of canceling or modifying their spring scrums to fight against rampant falsification that would have taken place in sport .

Last season, a handful of teams changed their spring game formats to withstand the effects of falsification in a list. The Ohio State Buckeyes did this by “marking” in their spring match, while Ole Miss Rebels organized competitions such as Dunk Contest.

But this season, the teams are planning to take more drastic measures. Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule said he was planning to completely cancel the game of Huskers, due to his fears of “alignment poaching”.

Poaching of alignment is when the university teams illegally encourage players from other teams to enter the transfer portal and join their list. University football coaches think that spring melee is when the teams become the most vulnerable to poaching the alignment due to the fact that it is when second and third strings receive most of their playing time.

Georgia Bulldogs are a team that has become extremely likely to poaching due to the rotating door of elite talents recruited from their list. Head coach Kirby Smart has even repeatedly said that he thought that the depth of his team had been reduced in recent seasons.

The poaching of alignment becoming an increasingly important problem in university football and the teams already taking liberties with the format of their spring match. Should Bulldogs follow suit?

For years, Georgia Football’s spring match was a favorite activity for fans who completed the Sanford stadium and created tons of excitement in the city of Athens. The modification of the game format or completely cancels it would certainly greatly disappoint fans and boosters.

It should be noted that Kirby Smart or any member of his staff had implications that this year’s “G-Day” game will be different from years before. However, if poaching and falsification of alignment become an increasingly important problem in the list of Bulldogs, Smart and its staff may be forced to make changes.
