According to a first police investigation, Airada was hired through a modeling agency to entertain a Chinese customer, identified only as “duoying”. They have learned that agency models should often take drugs during their time with their customers.

Hotel video surveillance images showed that the man goes at 11:16 p.m. on February 9. Airada was seen in the man’s room at 2:52 am, but at 6:16 am, the man was seen when leaving the hotel room without her. No one has been seen in and get out of the room.

A few hours later, the hotel staff found Airada lifeless inside the room and alerted the Chokchai police. The agents who responded found no visible sign of injury or a physical struggle on the victim’s body.

Pol lt Gen Sayam had ordered investigators to accelerate the investigation and promised to do justice to the victim’s family, said Pol Maje noppas, adding that any officer was found covering or helping the suspect will face disciplinary measures and strict prosecution.

The authorities questioned several witnesses concerning death and carried out a medical-legal analysis on the scene of the crime. The owner of the modeling agency will also be summoned for interrogation, he said.

Police also asked for an arrest warrant against the Chinese citizen for reckless endangering causing death. Police actively follow their place and alerted the immigration authorities to be on the lookout for the suspect at all border control points.

One of the friends of the deceased woman said that Airada had never consumed drugs or taking models in the past. The point of view was taken up by Airada’s sister, who also said that there had been efforts to bring his family to abandon the case in exchange for financial compensation.

She said that an agent claiming to come from the modeling agency had contacted her several times, saying that the Chinese client was willing to pay 100,000 baht to cover his funeral expenses. The agent then raised the offer to 200,000 baht, which the family quickly rejected, she said.

However, attempts did not stop there, because a man claiming to be a police officer then contacted the family and urged them to accept a compensation offer of 500,000 baht, she said.

When she learned that the modeling agency was linked to a police officer, she decided to make public with the case, for fear that the case will be investigated correctly.
