The police were alerted around 4:10 p.m. on Saturday that a car was on in the Island Road region.

“Colleagues from the Northern Ireland fire and rescue service also attended the scene and extinguished the fire, which is treated as deliberate ignition at the time,” said a PSNI spokesperson.

“The vehicle was completely burned after the incident.
