Labour’s economic suicide squad is crucifying the UK – it’s all part of the plan | Personal Finance | Finance

When Brian sweats on the cross at the end of the film, he is given a glimmer of hope as a “well-trained suicide squad” arrives and apparently offers to save him.

Their leader proudly boasts “we can kill ourselves in 20 seconds”, and that’s exactly what they do, leaving Brian desperate and doomed.

I remember this scene when I see the Labor front bench. Keir StarmerRachel Reeves, Angela Rayner and Ed Miliband offered hope to a desperate nation in the general election, only to commit instant economic suicide.

Now the whole country is sweating on the cross.

Labor has had 14 long years of opposition to practice on. Today, he is committing economic suicide at high speed.

PM Keir Starmer drew his sword first, killing all hope by warning of the tough decisions Labor would make to plug this £22 billion black hole.

It was a serious self-inflicted wound.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves then deployed her own suicide squad skills, bringing the economy to a screeching halt by threatening us with brutal tax rises.

She let businesses, consumers and taxpayers sweat for four cruel months, waiting to see how much destruction her budget would wreak.

An economy that was previously in gangbuster shape has suddenly lost its vital signs.

After good growth in the first half, it decreased by 0.1% in September and 0.1% in October. Today it is under recession watch.

Energy Secretary Ed Miliband is the head of the suicide squad.

As Reeves and Starmer attack the economy, their insane plan to make our power grid 95% fossil fuel free by 2030 is a huge act of economic self-harm.

Yes, the UK needs to move towards locally produced renewable energy. But we can’t do it at this speed.

This huge spending will send energy bills skyrocketing, while leaving the country at the mercy of power outages and blackouts.

The fanatical Miliband is not only committing economic suicide. With the communities secretary Angela Raynerit also inflicts punishment.

Miliband and Rayner cover our beautiful and productive countryside with solar farms, wind turbines, endless pylons and strip housing. They take cruel revenge on rural residents who refuse to vote conservative.

Labor is not doing this by accident. This is all part of his plan for change. Unfortunately, this turns out to be a change for the worse.

As well as committing national hari-kari, Labor is leading a separate surrender team, meekly returning the UK to Brussels.

Given Starmer’s overwhelming majority, there’s nothing we can do except sing along with Brian. In everything now: “Always look on the bright side of life…”
