The Minister of Railways Ashwini Vahnaw said on Saturday that, in addition to the road, rail and suburbs services provided by the government of the State, his ministry will also present a train travel option from the airport International of Kempegowda in the city of Bengaluru.

However, he noted that some technical challenges must be met before this could be implemented and the rail team works to solve them.

Addressing journalists, he said that people currently have access to Bengaluru Airport via Metro Rail, Road and the Railway project managed by the Development Company (Karnataka) Rail (K-Ride).

K-ride, a joint venture between the center and the state, is under construction and aims to improve urban rail connectivity.

“In addition to the metro, the road and the K-Ride, we also create a rail connectivity option at the airport,” said Vahnaw.

He recalled that during his last visit, he traveled the airport to the city.

“I realized that it was a comfortable driving from 40 to 45 minutes. However, there were technical problems, in particular the need to build an overview of rails. The team has now completed the necessary work and they presented the concept to me today. I will share it soon with you. This will bring significant relief to the people, “said the minister.

In the suburbs of the suburbs, he criticized the execution of the government government, declaring that it lacked technical expertise, including a full -time managing director of the railway technical framework.

He stressed the importance of suburban and metro projects for Bengaluru, a city with a population of 1.5 crosses.

“It is a very big city, and we must quickly develop metropolitan and suburban rail networks. The state and the center must work synchronized, “he said.

Vaishnaw said that during his visits, he examined in detail the progress of the K-Ride Suburban railway project.

“Each time, the main challenge was the lack of technical staff. I will ask the government of the State to appoint a full -time MD of the technical framework of the railways. Without that, progress will be slow, “he said.

He also expressed his disappointment in the face of the execution of the project.

“It is really concern that the execution by the government of the state of this project does not meet the expectations of the public. People have great hopes and to make them, we need a solid technical team, “he said.

In addition to appointing a full -time MD of the railway frame, he underlined the urgent need for at least 12 to 13 technically qualified staff in electrical engineering, civil engineering and signaling.

“We submit a proposal to the government of the State. If they agree, we will depreciate the managers of the railways to K-Ride to accelerate the project, “said the minister.

According to him, the center provides the necessary funding, so financial constraints should not be a problem.

Another major challenge, he said was the failure of train offers three times three times.

“I carried out a detailed exam this morning, and now we offer that the railways will provide trains for the Bangaluru suburban railway project.” Vaishnaw said that the railways will provide Namo Bharat in K-Ride to direct suburban rails.

According to him, Namo Bharat is designed for short distance trips.

He also expressed dissatisfaction with the way the K-Ride has structured offers for train supply.

“The railways are a highly technical area. Since K-Ride is controlled by the State Government, they structured the call for tenders as a public-private partnership project (PPP), where a private entity would provide trains and receive payments on Several years. This approach does not work in the metro and railway sectors, “he said.

Regarding the circular rail project around Bengaluru, he declared that the concept had now been finalized.

“Bengaluru is linked to the city by seven railway rays. About a year and a half ago, we presented the idea of a circular rail network, “he said.

The Minister also addressed questions related to the manufacture of metro trains.

“Although this is not the responsibility of the railway, we will do our best to ensure that the inhabitants of Bengaluru will obtain good facilities, which is priority. We must not understand if it is in the area of the state or the center, “he said.
